Lauren has worked Australia-wide as a director, performer, creative collaborator and acting coach. She graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2011 as part of the inaugural Bachelor of Music Theatre class. Lauren has extensive experience both on and off the stage and is passionate about being a positive role model to emerging artists. Directing credits include; MAD WORLD, Melbourne's favourite new immersive theatrical experience, Songs for a New World (adapted by Lauren for a cast of 50) at Brisbane Academy of Music Theatre, the world premiere performance of Aeneas: The Musical by Madeleine Nicole Hale at Melbourne's Recital Centre and Resident Director of The Australian Music Theatre Workshop and The Youngharts Network Creative Convention showcases around Australia featuring Rhonda Burchmore, Marina Prior, Silvie Paladino and Christine Anu. In Assistant Director roles, Lauren has worked on Third World Blues with Company Eleven (dir. Margot Fenley) and VCA’s West Side Story (dir. Martin Croft). Other creative projects include musical staging for The Sound of Music for Pymble Ladies' College and choreography for the Newington College productions of Oliver!, Spamalot and Guys and Dolls at Nida’s Parade Theatre.
Lauren's onstage credits include; Martha/Ms. Fleming in the original Australian cast of Heathers (Hayes Theatre Co./ShowWork Productions), the role she won the Sydney Theatre Award for Best Newcomer in 2015, Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray Arena Spectacular (Harvest Rain), Jan in the recent arena tour of Grease (Harvest Rain), Rose Smith in Meet Me in St. Louis (Hayes Theatre Co./Neglected Musicals), Babette in La Cage Aux Folles (TPC), Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest (Citizen Theatre) The Pirates of Penzance (TPC) and Puffs, Or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic (TEG Live). Lauren is a proud member of Actors Equity and is represented by Working Management. Her Melbourne based acting coaching business, "Coach Me, Lauren!" assists training, pre- professional and working artists refine their performance skills and polish their audition technique.
Maverick is an award winning composer, writer, producer and actor from Melbourne, Victoria. He graduated with a BA in Music Theatre from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and has gone on to be nominated for a staggering 6 Green Room Awards, winning Best Original Songs for Cabaret in 2019 for his work on ‘Tis The Season...’.
His MD credits include ‘The Dinner Table’ (SMGS, Student Prod. Grant), “Gradu-WAIT!” (WAAPA showcase) and Voice Captain on ‘Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson’ (WAAPA).
His performance credits include Louis Leonowens in ‘The King & I’ (The Production Company), Mr. Toad in ‘The Wind in the Willows’ (Australian Shakespeare Company), Hanschel in ‘Spring Awakening’ (Malthouse Theatre/SMGS) and many more.
Maverick is thrilled to be joining the creative team of Dreamsong as Musical Director. Amen.
Madison graduated from the Musical Theatre stream at Patrick Studios Australia in 2014 after studying under the guidance of Andrew Hallsworth.
Since graduating she has appeared in theatrical productions and tours such as A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Melbourne Shakespeare Company), SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (StageArt), THE LAST FIVE QUEERS, I WON'T DANCE THE MUSICAL and MASTER'S OF CHOREOGRAPHY.
As a Choreographer and Director, Madison has been fortunate enough to work Australia wide with many talented artists, creatives and performers. Recently she has worked on the 2017 and 2018 SYDNEY MARDI GRAS, FALSETTOS (StageArt, Melbourne), GARFIELD THE MELBOURNE (Melbourne International Comedy Festival), BARE THE MUSICAL (Understudy Productions, Brisbane), MAD WORLD (David Butler Studios, Melbourne), THIS IS HALLOWEEN (Brooklyn Runaways, Melbourne) RUN LIKE WOLVES MUSIC VIDEO (Hannah Campbell, Brisbane) and DIFFERENT MUSIC VIDEO (Aidan Rolfe, Melbourne), THE WILD PARTY (Little Triangle, Sydney), TWISTED CHRISTMAS (Brooklyn Runaways) and MAD WORLD SEASON TWO (David Butler Studio). Madi has recently been a cast member of HI5 and has travelled to Sydney to choreograph for the 2019 Sydney Mardi Gras Festival.
